Main Bhi Anna Tu Bhi Anna-August Kranti...

Thanx to Media where everything told, debated about Corruption, Anna`s campaign, supporters, Jan lokpal Bill and many more. Rather, I would like to stress more on few different points. India is independent but need of time is of second independence, which can provide freedom to Aam Admi`s  frustration from more than 60 years old rusted system which is result of corruption from top to bottom. Why there is debate about outcome of Janlokpal Bill that there is a myth that it will change system and end corruption and Anna`s team is misguiding people? In India, so many law comes and go, lets try with positive attitude this Bill as well which is supported by so many people along with Anna`s team, even if it fail to the expectation we all will fail and we are not going to loose anything what we have already lost with this system & corruption but if we didnt try this we will loose an oppourtunity to make a corruption free developed India. I dont understand why Govt. and some politicians are so scared about its real outcome? Recently, I came Delhi and in Metro and roads, everwhere I found August Kranti where young old everyone is in Khadi with Anna`s Cap written as "I am Anna" with slogans all around "Main Bhi Anna Tu Bhi Anna" which depicts frustartion of Aam admi in the hope of cleaning the system and making a developed Corruption free India.

Life in Bangalore...

Its more than a year in Bangalore now. True face of Bangalore I have realized very well now. Like others I also used to list out good things about Bangalore in comparison to Kolkata to my parents & friends. Bangalore climate is too good, traffic is not a problem as it is in Kolkata n so on.... But apart from these materialistic advantages 1 thing I often miss i.e Mental Peace.

Everyone is in hurry ... no one has time for anyone. While going to office in morning, its difficult to analyze whether autowala is more busy or me. When I stop any auto for going office, he starred at my face n from his eyes says, " No. I will not go." Sometimes I think as the autowala don't like my clothes or face or doubtful on my credibility whether I will pay or not. If by chance, he agrees , I thank God first than I see my shirt n face in auto`s mirror that oh.. today they r perfect.

In rainy days, people walking near street r definitely having bath with the street muddy water showered by recklessly drived private vehicles. If drivers r drunked too than God only can save u. No one knows which vehicle Will hit u & whether dinner u will have at home or hospital.

Most of people here r from other states.. they r like birds which will take its dana n will fly away very far from here... no one is worried about anyone, about this city, infact about jobs, bosses, n rented houses..all r like guests.

What more I can say about Bangalooru... people need chances to make u fool...only u r safe until u r not out from home. I m also a bird of kolkata , god knows when I will also fly away to home city from this special city.

Kolkata-Bangalore-Delhi...Tab se Ab Tak...

15th Aug`11, the day I left Bangalore for Delhi due to my transfer. Almost 5 years back first time left kolkata for Bangalore after clearing professional degree for job. Things have changed a lot in these 5 years. Gone through various Ups & Downs more than Sensex & Nifty.  Worked at various profile with so many people, multiple houses shifted, met various strangers & made few good friends, married with Dipika, blessed with son Ishaan, faced tougest phase of  life when came to know about mother`s cancer and many more. Everyday experiencing new colours of life sometime dull sometime bright but still failed to understood inherent meaning and purpose of life and it remain puzzle for me. I think life is a everyday everyhour everyminute infact every moment a surprised package of lessons which tells its meaning and purpose itself. To understand life, life itself  is very short. One thing I learnt is we cant take lessons always from commiting mistakes, sometimes its experience of life which guides us to make accurate decision without any mistake. Then, sometime I wonder if life is so beautiful and we take birth to get priveledge of such beautiful oppourtunity then why the need of death? Life is Recycling. Birth-Growth-Old Age-Death-Birth & so on but what anyone achieve by this is something which puzzled me. Today again I am missing kolkata same like how I missed when I entered Bangalore and still have no answer when circumstances/oppourtunities will prevail when I can peacefully come home at Howrah from office rather than at rented houe in a new city like Bangalore or Delhi.

Lesson to learn from Jan 2008-Stock Market

Today 23rd Jan 2008, it seems stock market is trying to recover from the last disaster. But, history can be repeated again. Investors has to be cautious in future. When we invest in Bank-FD and wait for 8% interest for a year than why we expect more than 20% per month from stock market. Investment simply on stock price performance will repeat history again & again as like Jan 2008. Our memory is too short, we forget what happened in Jan 2008 very fast. Now, there is a need to be cautious, patient , control on our greed & invest on the basis of fundamentals of any company.

SOX,a reform in corporate world-Success or Failure?

SOX was enforced 5 years back to bring reforms in corporates. After the fraud cases of Enron & other companies came into limelight, investors lost confidence on corporate entities. A debate started in US to overcome with this problem. There was a need to enforce an act which can assure integrity & completeness of reporting requirement, corporate governance, statutory compliance, social responsibility, internal control aspects in public entities to regain the lost confidence & trust of investors on public entities. SOX was enforced with such a motive. A section of community from corporate world criticised SOX on various ground. It was also felt that SOX compliance is not a easy deal both in terms of money & time. Specially, small entities faced such a problem. Advantages of SOX compliance overruled all such criticism. In fact, many private entities also started SOX compliance with a view to become public companies in future.
After 5 years of enforcement of SOX , investors feel same trust on public entities as was earlier. SOX assisted in fair reporting, in strengthening internal control aspects related to financials reporting, in corporate governance like statutory compliance & reporting, social responsibility etc. Success or failure of any act or law can be well defined by the one who comply it & the other who gets its benefits on compliance. With this view, I feel entities had also shown good positive response on its compliance which has given strength to trust of stakeholders on public entities.

Motivation through stranger

Nearly a year back, I was disappointed after giving lots of interview in ICAI campus. Then, I met one guy at CA institute whose words & his own story motivated me a lot to move forward. He was qualified after more than 10 attemps which he told in the interview room without hesitation . There was confidence in his face and dedication to do something. Hearing all such thing paved the way to restand again & I did. Salute to the courage & confidence of such guy.

Halla Bol, a need to Protest

Normally on weekend, myself n roommates (Sumit & VJ) go out for movie. But, this Sunday we saw "Halla Bol" starring Ajay Devgan, Vidya Balan & Pankaj Kapoor in the main lead & directed by RajKumar Santoshi ,at home through DVD player. The movie conveyed a message to protest against injustice and to fight for Truth until it wins.

Today, we civilized residents are so much selfish that message of these movies do not touch at all. From, entertainment perspective we appreciate movies, support it by giving good rating, speak about message it convey as I m doing right now & finally movie get nominated and awarded in any film award show. At last, the movie with its so called message tastes dust in library.

In our day to day life, people pay bribes & do not protest. Do not raise voice against black marketing by ration shopowners. Do not protest if quantity of packed good is marginally less. Do not protest against illegal construction at the cost of poors. This list is never ending. We think if being silent our work is get done, why to unnecessary protest for others. Middle class section if continue to be selfish, the day is not far when they might also slipped to lower class. That`s why rich are growing more rich & poor are suffering.

Is this way going to bring social reforms.? Is this way sufficient enough to protest against injustice? Is it a proper way to fight for Truth?

The answer to all these is oobviously a Big No. Movies are mirror to society. Whatever happened, happens or is going to be happened in society is depicted beautifully through movies. The only flavour which director tries to add is the message & genuine attempt to inspire masses through raising social issues.

Halla Bol was such an attempt. Its now up to us how we take it i.e One way is to show courage & fight against day-to-day social evils & injustice prevailing in our society

and second way is much easy i.e simply thinking in a much conservative way of our own houses & families and left everything up to Government, God & some miracle to happen.

In this context, I recall few lines:
HO GAYI HAI PEER PARVAT SI PIGHALANI CHAHIYE
AAB HIMALAYA KE SINE SE AAG NIKALANI CHAHIYE......
