Bahubali, Belur & Halibidu- Trip

On Dussehera holiday, Myself, VJ N Sumit planned to spend a day at Bahubali, Belur & Halibidu in Karnataka. However, due to sumit`s urgent office work, he do not joined us. We started at 6:30 am from home. First of all, we went to see Bahubali in sravanbelgola. It is rightly said, " Iswar darshan tapasya se hote hai". Bahubali is at mountain, so one has to climb more than 600 steps to see the vishal pratima of Bahubali. Apart from jains, people from various caste across India and also large number of foreign tourists comes here. Some, people prefer to sit in "Palki" to climb the steps & to see the Bahubali.

Than, we went to Belur & Halibidu where we saw old temples with art & architecture on the walls of temple which itself depicts the glorious history of India. At Belur, we got guide who explained about art, history related to temples in very humorous style. The guide explained about Parrot as messenger, modern hair & clothing style of that time, vishkanya, pillar standing on three layer support & so on... One thing I noticed, that ancient India was equally advanced in terms of style, fashion, liberty to woman, science, etc which we found in today`s age.

While travelling, Myself n VJ discussed lots of things, enjoyed nature`s various sightseeing, good climate & finally came back to home at 11:30 p.m with lots of good memories.....
